Our Community Foundation creates opportunities for donors to realize their charitable giving goals and make a difference in their community. We offer a variety of fund options to meet the wishes of our donors.

Donor-Advised funds provide a flexible and efficient way to organize and streamline your charitable giving. Once your fund is established, you can recommend grants from the fund to causes you care about, whenever it is convenient for you.

Other Types of Funds

Designated Funds

Designated Funds provide ongoing support for one or more nonprofit organizations that you name so those organizations continue to receive continued and reliable funding. 

Field of Interest Funds

Select charitable causes you want to support, such as the environment, education, arts and culture, human services. We will find effective nonprofits to ensure that our grantmaking aligns with your intent. 

Greater Good Fund

Giving an unrestricted gift to the Greater Good Fund allows the Community Foundation to use your charitable contribution to address the most pressing community needs and opportunities. The Greater Good Fund is an endowed fund that supports competitive grant programs at the Community Foundation.    

Other Options When Establishing a Fund

In Memorial or In Honor

Any fund listed above can be established in memory or in honor of a loved one, or to commemorate a special milestone or event. 

Scholarship Funds

Create a fund to help students pursue higher education. Scholarships can support students based on criteria you set and are awarded through a competitive application process. 

Prairie Funds

Because the minimum amount to establish a fund at the Community Foundation is $10,000, we offer a Prairie Fund which allows donors to establish a fund with an initial gift of $2,500, with regular contributions over five years. The fund will become a named, endowed fund once it reaches $10,000.
