Nonprofit Party at the Museum
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, the Community Foundation hosted the Nonprofit Party at the Museum. The Nonprofit Party is an annual celebration of local nonprofit professionals and the incredible work they do to strengthen our community. The 2024 party was held at African American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids.
The Spirit of Minnie Rubek
For several years, the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation honored employees, leaders, or founders of Linn County nonprofit organizations with the Spirit of Minnie Rubek. Named after an early Community Foundation donor who had a quiet but lasting impact, the Spirit of Minnie Rubek recognized nonprofit professionals who went above and beyond in their commitment and dedication to their organization and its mission. At the 2024 Nonprofit Party at the Museum, we recognized 25 individuals who were submitted for the honor by their colleagues.
Past Nonprofit Professional Recognitions and Honorees
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation has been recognizing nonprofit professionals since 2002 through several recognitions and awards for their leadership, commitment and dedication to the mission of their organizations.
