Strong Nonprofits Build Strong Communities

Nonprofit organizations provide the programs and services that make Linn County a healthy and vibrant community. The Community Foundation provides grants, learning opportunities, and information sharing to help support, connect, and strengthen the nonprofit sector in our community.

Grantmaking

Through a variety of grant programs, the Community Foundation supports innovation, sustainability and capacity-building in nonprofit organizations serving Linn County.

Resources Beyond the Grant

Supporting nonprofit organizations goes beyond our grantmaking. Ensuring that nonprofit professionals have the tools they need to help fulfill their missions is equally important. The Nonprofit Network connects the nonprofit sector by offering learning opportunities, information sharing and peer groups.

“We do what we can to raise money, but we rely on grants for most of our funding. We wouldn’t exist without support from the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.”

Vice President, Troy Mills Historical Society
