Our Vision, Mission and Values
For more than 75 years, the Community Foundation has been working to improve the quality of life in Linn County. We do this through a variety of means, making sure to stay focused on the current and evolving needs of the community.
Just as we update our grantmaking practices in response to changing needs and opportunities, we must also periodically reflect on where our community is going and how we can help it get there. To ensure that all members of our community benefit from our efforts to improve the quality of life here, in 2021 we set out to rethink what drives us an organization.
“Our new vision, mission and values more accurately reflect what the Community Foundation aims to be,” said President & CEO Les Garner. “We’re here to strengthen our community, and we remain open to ways we can help Linn County become a more vibrant and inclusive place to call home.”
The new vision, mission and values were approved by the Board of Directors in December 2021 after several months of conversations with Community Foundation Board of Directors, staff, and other constituents.
