Nonprofit Awards – Call for Nominations
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the following awards to be presented at the Celebration of Community event on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 4 – 6 p.m. at Theatre Cedar Rapids:
- Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Award – recognizes the leadership and accomplishments of the chief executive officer or executive director of a Linn County nonprofit organization.
- Minnie Rubek Staff Excellence Award – recognizes a nonprofit staff member who has gone “above and beyond” in their support of the organization mission and has greatly enhanced the overall effectiveness of the organization through his/her work. This award can also be given to recognize a group of nonprofit employees.

The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Applications should be submitted electronically to Carrie Walker at carrie.walker@gcrcf.org or mailed to: Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, Attn. Carrie Walker 324 Third Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401.
Nominations are encouraged from nonprofit organizations, board members and community members. These awards seek to recognize individuals who have exceptional performance, accomplishments and service. In addition to the award, each recipient will receive a $1,000 grant from the Community Foundation designated for staff development at the honoree’s organization.
