Summit Schools is a private, non-denominational school where staff, students and families demonstrate caring, respect for diversity, and a commitment to enriching the lives of others through service learning and project based learning. Summit Schools is committed to preparing students to be successful in an evolving, information-centered, global community of the 21st century. Serving 95 students grades PrK-8, the collaborative team of 20 staff provide enriching experiences; with a focus on mindfulness and empowering students to affect positive change in our world. Summit sees the challenges our society faces, and aims to personalize learning to fit each child the way s/he learns best. The school strives to instill a lifelong love for learning, and to promote personal interests and character as a necessary component of one’s learning. Children become architects of their own learning at Summit.
Summit Schools is committed to instilling in our students a sense of team and collaboration. We do this through our “Summit Way”. You will see our “Summit Way” displayed proudly in our hallways, classrooms, and offices. The tenets of the “Summit Way” are:
•Speak Kindly
•Use compassion
•Mindfully listen
•Move calmly
•Include others
•Think first
Summit School students not only have strong character and a commitment to helping others, they also demonstrate high academic achievement through state assessment results. Summit student alumni are frequently recognized for their strong leadership skills and high academic achievement in high school and beyond. We are proud of our students and their many accomplishments throughout life.
