ABOUT

The Dieman-Bennett Dance Fund was established in 2018 by community performing arts advocates in memory of Edna Dieman and Julia Bennett to honor and continue their legacy of dance performance and dance education in Linn County. Miss Dieman and Miss Bennett operated the Dieman Bennett Dance Studio in Cedar Rapids from 1951 until 1996. Together they presided over the ballet classes of generations of eastern Iowans, and also taught and performed classical Hindu, Spanish, and Renaissance dance. This fund seeks contributions from all who dance in the kitchen, enroll their children in dance classes, and thrill to the skill, strength, and grace of all dance performers.
