ABOUT
The Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation was founded in 1984 as a nonprofit organization guided by a mission to build financial support to promote and recognize excellence in the public schools. Programs offered by the Foundation benefit students and staff in the Cedar Rapids Community School District (CRCSD). The District encompasses 34 schools, 16,503 students, a 121-square mile area and children from all socio-economic and ethic backgrounds. The Foundation has three core goals:
1) To enhance the educational experience of students in the Cedar Rapids Community Schools
2) To provide broad and equitable access to educational opportunities for students and staff
3) To be recognized as the key funding source for enhanced education-based projects and programs available to students in District schools
