Nonprofit Know-How: Governance, Advocacy, and Leadership Heading Into 2027
December 9 @ 9:30 am – 11:00 am
Nonprofit leaders are navigating a time of significant change—and finding that some of the most effective ways to meet this moment are surprisingly simple, though not necessarily easy. This interactive session will explore intentional strategies and tactics nonprofit leaders are using to strengthen their organizations, relationships, and influence as we head into a new year.
Participants will explore how to:
- Make sense of the moment by identifying legal, policy, and sector trends that matter to their organizations.
- Use their voice effectively by understanding the distinctions—and opportunities—in advocating for their mission.
- Build the board they need through more intentional approaches to recruitment, engagement, and development.
- Strengthen the CEO/Board Chair partnership by focusing on the practices that build clarity, trust, and shared leadership.
- Develop relationships before they’re needed through purposeful networking with policymakers, funders, partners, and community leaders.
- Put simple ideas into practice by identifying a few high-leverage actions participants can adapt to their own organizations.
