🌶️ THE CHILI COOK OFF IS BACK! 🌶️
Sixteen teams. Sixteen chilis. One VERY important vote. Yours.
Join us on October 30 for the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy Chili Cook Off, where local businesses and organizations will battle it out to see who really makes the best chili in town.
And for just $10, you can taste ALL of it!
Your admission lets you sample chili from all 16 teams, then cast your vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award.
We also have a pretty fantastic group of celebrity judges joining us, including:
🌶️ Mitch Keller, Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher and Cedar Rapids native
🌶️ Catherine Blades of Everyday Iowa
🌶️ Nassor Cooper, local musician and recording artist
🌶️ Tiffany O’Donnell, Cedar Rapids Mayor
🌶️ John Paul Schafer, nationally known artist
And since this is the night before Halloween, EVERYONE is encouraged to come in costume. Contestants, judges, guests, friends, families, we want to see all of it.
Come spooky. Come ridiculous. Come creative. Just come hungry.
🏆 Judges Award
🏆 People’s Choice Award
👑 Best Costume
🌶️ 16 different chilis to taste
🎟️ Just $10 to eat and vote
Best of all, your $10 helps support K to 12 programming at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy!
Since moving into Arthur Elementary School, we have seen our foot traffic increase more than 400 percent. More kids are walking through our doors, which means we need more classes, more supplies, and more financial aid to make sure cost does not keep a young person from participating.
So grab your friends, put on a costume, bring your appetite, taste everything, pick your favorite, and help us raise some money for the kids while we are at it. And if you don’t want to dress up– come gawk at the people who did!
