Home Nonprofits Grants Grant Recognition & Communications Guidelines

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation encourages all grant and loan recipients to build awareness of their projects within the community and through local media. Social media, news releases, publications, websites, speeches, brochures, annual reports, and advertising are all simple but important ways to share the impact of your work.

When promoting a project funded by the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, we ask that you acknowledge our support. Recognition helps raise awareness of the good work being funded through philanthropy in our community and encourages continued support for projects like yours.

Below you’ll find guidelines for recognition, along with ideas for sharing news about your Community Foundation-funded work.

  • Download the logo below.
  • Please do not squash, stretch, rotate, or otherwise modify the logo.
  • If you need the logo in a different format, please contact Dylan Cooley.

Recognition Lists or Donation Walls

Recognition lists or permanent signage (such as donation walls) should include the Community Foundation’s name and/or logo. If the support came from a specific fund, the fund name can also be included. Acceptable formats include:

  • Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, XYZ Fund
  • XYZ Fund at the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation

If the list is alphabetized or you have limited space, you may list the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and the donor name(s) separately.

If the donor has requested anonymity (as noted in the letter accompanying your grant), please recognize the Community Foundation only.

For any questions, please contact Corinne Rahe.
