ABOUT

The Catherine McAuley Center is A Place of Welcome serving more than 700 individuals each year through a wide range of educational and supportive services.

Services

CMC’s programs serve distinct populations; adult learners; refugees and immigrants; and women experiencing homelessness. Services are united by a common purpose of promoting the well-being and dignity of those in need and empowering individuals to achieve greater stability, self-sufficiency, community inclusion, and improved quality of life for themselves, their families, and the community as a whole.

Education Services

Provides free one-on-one tutoring and small group classes to adult learners, the majority who are English language learners.

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
  • U.S. citizenship exam preparation
  • High School Equivalency Test preparation
  • Digital literacy and computer skills
  • Career pathways
  • Basic math and reading

Resource Navigation Services

Provides case management, resource navigation, and referrals that help refugees and immigrants thrive in the United States.

  • Benefits enrollment assistance

Women’s Services

Immersive residential programs with gender-responsive wraparound services, to help women heal from trauma and build the skills they need to maintain long-term stable housing.

Clients at the Catherine McAuley Center also have access to supplemental services:

  • Food pantry & hygiene closet
  • Community garden
  • CMC Kids: On-site incidental childcare while parents access CMC services
