Community Foundation Seeks a Graphic and Multimedia Designer

This person is the graphic design and videography expert on the Marketing Team.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $58,000, depending upon experience.

Summary:
The Graphic and Multimedia Designer is responsible for creating and executing visual and digital aspects of marketing materials, website, and other media to promote philanthropy and impactful grantmaking for the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. This person is the graphic design and videography expert on the Marketing Team.
Essential Functions:
- Manages visual and electronic aspects of marketing and communication design projects including, but not limited to newsletters, annual report, advertisements, brochures, donor materials, e-communications, videos, social media, website, and event materials
- Elevates stories about donors and nonprofits in our community through compelling print design, social media graphics, photography, and video production
- Oversees and implements the Community Foundation brand
- Oversees website design and content updates
- Executes content plans and strategies on social media channels
- Actively shares ideas and digital knowledge to assist Community Foundation team members
- Seeks and participates in professional development opportunities
Competency:
- Exceptional visual graphic design skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience with video creation and editing
- Proficient with Microsoft and Adobe products including Premiere Pro, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and After Effects
- Working knowledge of WordPress, Constant Contact or Mail Chimp, and HTML code
- Knowledge of and experience with social media platforms and the emerging trends with content and engagement across these platforms
- Ability to easily transition from various assignments in a deadline-driven environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and interest in problem solving regarding technology
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, set schedules, coordinate with others, and meet deadlines
- Flexible, adaptable, willing to try new concepts and ability to absorb constructive feedback
- Self-starting and able to work independently

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- Full-time.
- Office hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Hybrid work arrangements are offered.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Education or equivalent experience in graphic design, marketing, or related discipline
