Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation Announces Disaster Response Fund

Published: March 17, 2020 | By: Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation | Category:

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, in partnership with United Way of East Central Iowa and The Hall-Perrine Foundation, has established the Disaster Response Fund to address the impacts of COVID-19 in Linn County. As our communities and vulnerable populations face unprecedented challenges, this unrestricted fund will provide the community with a flexible strategy for charitable giving in this time of great need.

Resources will be directed to where the need is most pressing. Initially, this fund will provide economic and health support for those disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and related closures. In the long term, the fund will respond to the additional needs that are sure to arise.

As our community’s nonprofit organizations will be among those adversely impacted by COVID-19 and related closures, we encourage the public to directly support those organizations.
