Board Boot Camp Training Offered for Nonprofit Executive Directors and Board Chairs

The Nonprofit Network, a program of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, is hosting a training opportunity for nonprofit Executive Directors and Board Chairs called Board Boot Camp.  The training will provide information about the responsibilities, roles and management of nonprofit Boards.

Board Boot Camp will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 11 a.m. – 1p.m. at the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.

The training will be facilitated by Kari McCann, Director of Nonprofit Partnerships and Grantmaking at the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque. The training topics include board recruitment, governance vs. management, board assessments, committee structures, roles and responsibilities, and Board Chair and Executive Director relationships.
