Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation Welcomes Director of Planned Giving

DSC_0065mcrThe Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Susan Willey has joined the Community Foundation team as Director of Planned Giving on November 3, 2014.

As a key member of the Community Foundation’s development team, Ms. Willey will meet with current fund holders and will also identify, cultivate and solicit planned gifts from potential donors. She will build relationships with financial advisors, attorneys, accountants, insurance agents and other estate planning professionals regarding gift opportunities for fund holders and prospects.

Ms. Willey most recently served as a lawyer for tax, business and estate planning groups at Simmons Perrine Moyer Bergman. She also worked in the National Tax Group at McGladrey and was on the Senate Finance Committee of Senator Grassley’s Tax Council.

Ms. Willey is actively involved in volunteer roles with Matthew 25 and Christ Episcopal Church. She will also serve as the incoming chair of the Tax Section of the Iowa State Bar Association.
