Funding Available for Education Grants

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is pleased to announce $15,000 in available grant funding for classroom projects in Linn County public schools for grades K-12. The funding is available through the Community Foundation’s Fund for Educational Excellence (FFEE). This fund supports projects that implement creative and innovative teaching approaches and techniques in the classroom that cannot be funded through the school’s budget.

 

One FFEE application per school is allowed. Teachers or non-teaching educational specialists, counselors, library or media personnel may submit an application. The project must begin after October 25, 2014 and conclude before June 1, 2015. The maximum grant award is $1,500.

 

The deadline for applications is September 5, 2014. Additional information on the grant, including guidelines and application materials can be found at www.gcrcf.org.
