BOB V. BENGTSON GOOD CITIZENSHIP AWARD & SCHOLARSHIP
For students at Truman Elementary School in Cedar Rapids
Established in 1994 to recognize an outstanding student enrolled at Truman Elementary School in Cedar Rapids and to assist with expenses for post-secondary education. Mr. Bengtson, a former teacher at Truman Elementary School, created this endowed program to encourage development in elementary students of those qualities and virtues exemplary of the best of American citizenship.
ALL-McKINLEY ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
For students at McKinley Middle School in Cedar Rapids
Established in 1993 for students attending McKinley Middle School. Selection is based upon outstanding academic achievement, sound character, good citizenship and capable leadership.
DAYBREAK ROTARY “LEGACY FOR LEARNING” SCHOLARSHIP
For students who attended Polk Elementary School / participated at Polk Neighborhood Community Center in Cedar Rapids
Established in 2001 for students attending Polk Elementary School to assist with expenses for post-secondary education.
