Additional Scholarships Available at Prairie High School

Apply at the Counselor’s Office at Prairie High School:

 

The Dustin Tardiff Academic Excellence Scholarship

Purpose: Established in 2019 by his parents, Ron and Christine Tardiff.

Eligibility Requirements:

• The applicant must be a graduating senior at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa
• The applicant must plan to attend the University of Iowa as a full-time student.

Amount: $500

Criteria:

• Priority criteria placed on pursuit of a field of engineering
• Academic achievement: Minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA, class rank along with depth variety of classes completed)
• Preference given to students who participate in volunteer service activities
• Preference given to students who demonstrate high moral character

 

Prairie Golf Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

• Graduating senior at Prairie High School, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who is a member of the school’s men’s golf team.
• Planning to attend a fully accredited nonprofit or public college or university as a full-time student

Amount: $1,000

Criteria:

• Preference given to students who participate in volunteer service activities
• Preference given to students who demonstrate high moral character
