ABOUT
LAMBA is a 100% volunteer organization consisting of an 11 member Board of Directors and ~200 members that build, maintain and ride the roughly 25 miles of mountain bike trails in Linn County. We have agreements with the City of Cedar Rapids, Marion and Linn County Conservation for these trails that are located in Beverly Park, the Sac & Fox green space, Boyson Road Park, Seminole Valley, Pinicon Ridge Park and Wanatee Park. Although labeled a mountain biking group, LAMBA also engages in environmental efforts in the natural spaces that fall under our stewardship, such as invasive species control, tree planting, and litter / debris removal. The population served includes all ages of people interested in a healthy experience in nature; including bicyclists, hikers and trail runners.
LAMBA actively works to make our trails and events inclusive to all riders. Education is a large component of LAMBA’s efforts and has taken many forms, including clinics for women and children and public speaking events that promote trail riding and LAMBA’s mission. Donations will be used to support trail building, maintenance and tools.
