Double Up Food Bucks – Help Us Get Fruits and Vegetables to Families in Crisis

ABOUT

Under normal circumstances, the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program helps families stretch their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) dollars by matching purchases of fresh fruits and vegetables dollar-for-dollar. For example, when a shopper spends $15 in SNAP benefits, they receive an additional $15 in DUFB to buy more produce—doubling their buying power and improving access to healthy food.

But today, we’re facing an urgent challenge.

Due to disruptions in SNAP benefit availability, many families who rely on DUFB don’t have SNAP dollars to spend, meaning they can’t access the matching funds that help them afford fresh fruits and vegetables.

That’s why we’ve launched an Emergency DUFB Fund—a temporary solution that allows us to provide direct DUFB dollars to individuals in need, without requiring a SNAP purchase. This is a departure from how the program normally operates, but it’s a necessary step to ensure that families facing food insecurity can still access the nutritious food they need.

Your donation today will go directly toward:
Providing emergency DUFB to individuals without SNAP funds
Ensuring access to fresh, local fruits and vegetables
Supporting families during a time of heightened need and uncertainty
This is a critical moment. With your help, we can make sure no one has to choose between skipping meals and skipping nutrition.

Donate now to support Emergency DUFB and help us nourish our community.
