Houston Fund for Animals

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is pleased to announce a one-time grant cycle for charitable organizations that provide animal welfare services. Applications will be accepted through Friday, June 14, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. CST.

This grant opportunity is funded by an anonymous donor who has established The Houston Fund for Animals at the Community Foundation. This is a Competitive Donor-Advised Fund which means the funding priorities, exclusions, decision-making and timing of grant awards are determined by the donor-advisor.

Purpose
This fund supports nonprofit organizations that provide low cost spay and neuter services, animal cruelty intervention, foster care, food and shelter.

Organization Eligibility
The Community Foundation accepts applications from nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) status, governmental organizations, and non-501(c)(3) organizations that have completed arrangements to obtain a fiscal sponsor.

Grant Timing and Amounts
The timing of donor-advised grant awards is typically two or three months after the deadline, however, it may take longer and is up to the donor. The average grant amount will be $250.

Frequency of Application
This grant opportunity will be offered one time only.
