The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is pleased to announce a one-time grant cycle for charitable organizations that provide animal welfare services. Applications will be accepted through Friday, June 14, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. CST.
This grant opportunity is funded by an anonymous donor who has established The Houston Fund for Animals at the Community Foundation. This is a Competitive Donor-Advised Fund which means the funding priorities, exclusions, decision-making and timing of grant awards are determined by the donor-advisor.
This fund supports nonprofit organizations that provide low cost spay and neuter services, animal cruelty intervention, foster care, food and shelter.
The Community Foundation accepts applications from nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) status, governmental organizations, and non-501(c)(3) organizations that have completed arrangements to obtain a fiscal sponsor.
Grant Timing and Amounts
The timing of donor-advised grant awards is typically two or three months after the deadline, however, it may take longer and is up to the donor. The average grant amount will be $250.
Frequency of Application
This grant opportunity will be offered one time only.
