Applications are being accepted through March 31, 2014 by the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation for the position of Vice President of Development. This position is responsible for establishing vision and strategy for the asset development activities for the Community Foundation and for managing those activities. This includes identifying, cultivating, and securing new donors, and facilitating gifts from prospective and existing donors. The Vice President oversees donor service, stewardship, and communication; as well as the administrative database and systems that support those activities. The Vice President provides a high level of leadership to the operations of the Community Foundation by working closely with the President, other members of the Leadership Team and the Development Committee.
The Iowa Council of Foundations (ICoF) and the Iowa Gaming Association (IGA)released their joint annual report to the legislature and many other key stakeholders this week. It is "Building Iowa's Communities Through Philanthropy: A Snapshot of the 2012-2013 County Endowment Fund Program and Grants Made by Casino Nonprofit Organizations."
