DESCRIPTION:Hiking for Housing is a community event dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Waypoint’s Housing Services. Join us for a hike up Mount Trashmore in Cedar Rapids and support our mission. By participating in this event\, you are helping to support and strengthen our community.\n \nWaypoint is a non-profit organization with a proud 130-year history of supporting the community. Our mission is to empower individuals to move forward in their lives. Each year\, Waypoint serves over 20\,000 people\, offering vital assistance and resources.\n \n\nTrail options\nYou will choose between three different hiking trails*: \n\nTrail 1: Waypoint Trail – 3.3 miles\nTrail 2: Stumptown Trail – 2 miles\nTrail 3: Overlook Trail – 1.3 miles (paved)\n\n*All trails are dog-friendly! \nEvent schedule\nPre-Check-in (Optional): \n\nDate: Sep 20th\, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.\nLocation: Waypoint 5th Street front desk\nNote: Skip the line\, grab your shirt\, and show up ready to hike on the 22nd!\n\nDay of Event: \n\nCheck-in: Sep 22nd\, 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at Mount Trashmore front entrance\nHike: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nPost Event: Enjoy an after-event lunch at Pickle Place in Cedar Rapids with fellow participants. DESCRIPTION:The Cultivate Hope Mega Market is a celebration of food\, music\, activities\, and community at Matthew 25‘s Cultivate Hope Urban Farm\, located at 437 G Ave. NW. We feature our locally-grown produce\, and the brick oven is blazing as we create pizzas for you\, your family\, and your friends to enjoy in our beautiful setting. Live music by local musicians will be played throughout the event\, Cultivate Hope Corner Store will be providing free hot dogs\, local vendors will be showcasing their items\, and so much more! \nWe hope to see you all there! \nThis year’s Mega Markets each have a special theme and are held from 4-7 pm on the last Thursday of the month from May-September. \nThis year’s dates are: \nMay 30 – Season Kickoff! \nJune 27 – Red\, White and Blueberries \nJuly 25 – Summer Celebration \nAugust 29 – Flower Power \nSeptember 26 – Harvest Festival \n  \n
