SUMMARY:EIAA Chili Cookoff 2026
DESCRIPTION:🌶️ THE CHILI COOK OFF IS BACK! 🌶️\n\nSixteen teams. Sixteen chilis. One VERY important vote. Yours.\n\nJoin us on October 30 for the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy Chili Cook Off\, where local businesses and organizations will battle it out to see who really makes the best chili in town.\n\nAnd for just $10\, you can taste ALL of it!\n\nYour admission lets you sample chili from all 16 teams\, then cast your vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award.\n\nWe also have a pretty fantastic group of celebrity judges joining us\, including:\n\n🌶️ Mitch Keller\, Pittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher and Cedar Rapids native\n\n🌶️ Catherine Blades of Everyday Iowa\n\n🌶️ Nassor Cooper\, local musician and recording artist\n\n🌶️ Tiffany O’Donnell\, Cedar Rapids Mayor\n\n🌶️ John Paul Schafer\, nationally known artist\n\nAnd since this is the night before Halloween\, EVERYONE is encouraged to come in costume. Contestants\, judges\, guests\, friends\, families\, we want to see all of it.\n\nCome spooky. Come ridiculous. Come creative. Just come hungry.\n\n🏆 Judges Award\n🏆 People’s Choice Award\n👑 Best Costume\n🌶️ 16 different chilis to taste\n🎟️ Just $10 to eat and vote\n\nBest of all\, your $10 helps support K to 12 programming at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy!\n\nSince moving into Arthur Elementary School\, we have seen our foot traffic increase more than 400 percent. More kids are walking through our doors\, which means we need more classes\, more supplies\, and more financial aid to make sure cost does not keep a young person from participating.\n\nSo grab your friends\, put on a costume\, bring your appetite\, taste everything\, pick your favorite\, and help us raise some money for the kids while we are at it. And if you don’t want to dress up– come gawk at the people who did!\n\nOctober 30\, 2026\nEastern Iowa Arts Academy\n2630 B Ave NE\, Cedar Rapids\n\n$10 gets you in and gets you ALL the chili tasting.\nhttps://square.link/u/VWKb0QoS\n\nCome hungry.
