DESCRIPTION:Join Save CR Heritage in the final days of the nonprofit’s campaign to revitalize the historic Zastera Pharmacy building during Brick-by-Brick II: Final Countdown! The Hall-Perrine Foundation is providing an incredible catalyst of $100\,000 to help purchase the 1920s brick building in northwest Cedar Rapids\, and your help is needed to raise the remainder of the $175\,000 purchase price by Aug. 1. Save CR Heritage plans to breathe new life into the historic Time Check neighborhood by repurposing the building as an architectural salvage store and community hub! While supplies last\, donors of $100 or more will receive a brick with a Czech connection – from the Sykora Bakery auction in Czech Village – to pay tribute to the building’s first owner\, the son of Bohemian immigrants. Your name will also be included on the Save CR Heritage website and donor wall at the shop. The event coincides with the nonprofit’s monthly salvage sale of vintage doors\, windows and more\, rescued from homes slated for demolition\, with proceeds benefiting the capital campaign\, as well. Every dollar makes a difference during the countdown to Aug. 1!
