Effective financial reporting is about more than making sure the numbers add up. It requires that financial information be communicated in a way that is meaningful and understandable to the audience. While board members and nonprofit leaders bring a variety of talents to an organization, they may not have extensive experience with financial and accounting matters. This roundtable is a learning opportunity for individuals responsible for assisting people who may not have a financial background – board members, committees, program directors, and others – in understanding nonprofit and government financial reports and their underlying standards.
