Organizational Development Fund

The Organizational Development Fund (formerly the Technical Assistance Grant Program) was developed in response to ongoing trends in the nonprofit sector and feedback given during the Linn County Nonprofit Resource Center focus groups in early 2006.

The goal of the program is to assist nonprofit agencies in their efforts to build capacity and effectiveness and fund activities that increase the success and impact of the organizations' programs.  Requests from $1,000 up to $5,000 may be made once per calendar year.

An organization may receive an Organizational Development grant once a year. Organizational Development grants are awarded up to $5,000; requests under $1,000 should be submitted to the President's Fund for consideration.

Examples of past organizational development grants include strategic planning work, board development, and enhanced donor development efforts through software updates.

Nonprofit agencies that apply for and/or receive an Organizational Development grant may also be eligible for other grant awards through the Community Foundation's competitive grant programs in the same year.
