Donor-Initiated Fundraising Policies

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 imposes new restrictions on donor-advised funds.  GCRCF may not reimburse donors from the donor-advised funds they established for the expenses of fundraising events.

The chief responsibility of the development staff of The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation (GCRCF) is to build endowment funds through major and planned gifts.  We welcome donors who establish component funds within GCRCF and are pleased to work with them to develop the funds.

For donors who wish to conduct fundraising activities/solicitations in support of the fund., guidelines are available for download below that are intended to be helpful in such circumstances.
