Competitive Donor-Advised Funds

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation administers competitive grant programs for a number of donor-advised funds.

Some competitive donor-advised funds will consider the following types of requests for funding: capital campaigns, operating support, event sponsorships and endowment campaigns.

Though we encourage competitive donor advised funds to make timely decisions, their process is not controlled by The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. Competitive donor-advisors select one or more of the competitive funding cycles in which to make grants. Please see chart below as reference.

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation has many donor-advisors that do not accept grant applications. Only the funds noted on the chart below accept unsolicited requests for funding.

Non-competitive donor-advisors are given the opportunity to recommend funding from their donor-advised funds for applications received to the Program Grant Fund.
