Connecting Donors to Need
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation works to make greater Cedar Rapids a better place by awarding grants in four broad areas: Arts and Culture, Community Development and the Environment, Education, and Health and Human Services. Awards come from a variety of funds within the Community Foundation. In 2007, The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation distributed nearly $4 million in grants and scholarships, which funded 86 scholarships and provided grants to 246 nonprofit organizations.

Grant deadlines for 2008 are 4:30 p.m. February 15, June 16, and October 15 for the Community and Momentum Funds, Field of Interest Funds, and Corporate Donor-Advised Funds. Not all funds accept applications in all cycles. For details, go to How to Apply and click on "Grant Deadlines by Fund."

The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation also administers a variety of scholarship programs.
GCRCF sponsors special programs to meet community needs. The REACT Center, Rockwell Education Access to Computer Technology, the Rockwell Collins K-12 Partnership Program , and the Iowa Community AIDS Partnership are administered by GCRCF.
