Your clients have several options to consider as they explore giving through our community foundation:
Outright bequest – donor names the GCRCF as a beneficiary for a portion of their estate. This can establish a designated or field of interest fund supporting the client’s favorite charities or be an unrestricted gift that supports the GCRCF’s grant programs.
Donor-advised fund – donor works with professional staff to identify ways to best use the dollars in the donor-advised fund.
Charitable Remainder Trust –Donor transfers the asset into the trust and receives income from the trust. The “remainder” asset at the death of the donor establishes a charitable fund at the GCRCF.
Charitable Gift Annuity – the donor transfers an asset (traditionally cash or appreciated stock) to the GCRCF and receives a guaranteed income for life.
