As part of the Flood 2008 Fund, the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation has expanded the fund’s grant criteria to address the capital needs of flooded nonprofits in Linn County with the Nonprofit Rebuilding Capital Grant. This new grant opportunity will assist nonprofits that have determined the need for new construction or substantial rehabilitation to continue pre-flood services.
Nonprofits may request a grant of no more than $50,000.
Applications will be reviewed in two phases – September 1, 2009 and February 1, 2010.
Organizations that intend to apply for the February 1 deadline must submit a letter of intent by September 1 to be eligible to submit a full application in February.
Approximately $500,000 has been reserved from the Flood 2008 Fund specifically for capital projects.
Organizations who received previous funding from the Flood 2008 Fund and/or the Nonprofit Recovery Fund are eligible to apply.
