Youth POWER Board of Directors

Each year, the YouthPOWER board actively recruits new members from all high schools in Linn County. The board strives to represent a diverse range of life experience, ethnicity and point of view. The core activities surround grant making involves conducting a needs assessment through research, learning more about the role of philanthropy in addressing community needs, creating a grant application, develop a marketing plan of the Youth POWER grant program to local nonprofits, review and score grant applications, interview grant applicants, and recommend grant decisions to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation board of directors for approval.
