Each year, the YouthPOWER board actively recruits new members from all high schools in Linn County. The board strives to represent a diverse range of life experience, ethnicity and point of view.

For the 2009-2010 school year, Youth POWER board of directors consists of the following local high school youth from throughout Linn County:

The core activities surround grant making involves conducting a needs assessment through research, learning more about the role of philanthropy in addressing community needs, creating a grant application, develop a marketing plan of the Youth POWER grant program to local nonprofits, review and score grant applications, interview grant applicants, and recommend grant decisions to the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation board of directors for approval. Applications to serve on the 2011-2012 Youth POWER board of directors are due April 4, 2011. If you are interested in joining YouthPOWER please fill out and return the application below.
